Virtual Linguistic Solutions takes their Interpretation Virtual Reality (IVR) services to the next level.
Following a successful competitive tender to offer virtual interpretation to GIZ Ghana, VLS was engaged by GIZ for their very first interpreting in virtual reality (IVR) project.
The project dubbed 'Sector Network Good Governance in Sub-Saharan Africa' was a 3 consecutive day conference held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, Accra - Ghana, from Oct. 10 to Oct. 12. Over 100 people attended the conference.
According to GIZ, the 3 day event was meant to provide "a platform to engage in expert discussions, exchange knowledge and experiences and strengthen partnerships within Africa in the context of the Agenda 2030 and 2063."
The focus was mainly on GIZ and its partners identifying "joint priorities and needs in promoting Good Governance regarding the implementation of the agenda and their principles."
Virtual Linguistic Solutions's professional team of interpreters were contracted to provide simultaneous and consecutive language interpretation services.
The team also escorted GIZ's onsite delegates.
As part of the contract, Virtual Linguistic Solutions provided and assisted with the installation of equipment, training participants on how to use the system, and as usual rendered IT support throughout the event.
Feedback from participants of the event were very positive and encouraging. Both VLS and GIZ have expressed their interest in extending this partnership.
